Terms and Conditions

  • Your film idea must be developed specifically for the Keep Drama off the Roads Short Film Competition 2010;
  • The outline of the idea for your film should be a minimum of 500 words but should not exceed 1,000 words and may include 2 supporting pages e.g. story board, visual reference;
  • It must be based on the subject of this year’s competition – ‘Breaking the Culture of Speed’;
  • Entry is open to all residents of the Republic of Ireland aged 15 – 25 at the time of their entry, except staff of Setanta Insurance and the Road Safety Authority and their families;
  • Group entries will not be accepted;
  • Closing date is 12th November 2010 at 6pm – any film idea submitted after this date will not be considered for the competition;
  • By entering this contest, entrants agree that all entries submitted may be published for use on the internet or sites such as Youtube, Bebo, Facebook and Twitter;
  • By entering this contest, the eventual winner agrees to their film idea being changed, amended and/or developed into a short film that may be streamed from the internet on sites such as Youtube, Bebo, Facebook and Twitter or used as part of a TV ad campaign or in conjunction with other promotional work by the Road Safety Authority and Setanta Insurance;
  • The winner and runners-up must ensure they are available to attend the national finals;
  • The winner and runners-up will be selected by a panel of judges and their decision is final;
  • By entering this contest, entrants agree to take part in PR activity on behalf of the sponsor;
  • By entering this contest, entrants agree that all entries and any other materials submitted (whether acceptable or not, regardless of the form they take) may be exhibited by the sponsors;
  • All entrants agree to sign a release form to forfeit copyright to your film idea.
